Funeral Mass for Adeline Diede, 81, of Glen Ullin will be 11:00 a. m. CDT, Monday, June 27, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glen Ullin with Father Jeff Zwack celebrating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation for Adeline will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm CDT on Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a rosary & vigil service being held at 6:00 pm CDT. Adeline passed away June 22, 2016 at Marian Manor Health Center surrounded by her family. Adeline was born on October 4, 1934 to Edmund and Anna (Martin) Weiand. She graduated from Glen Ullin High School in 1952. After graduation, she started working for Bell Telephone Company as a switchboard operator. She married Ray Diede at Sacred Heart Church on December 30, 1955. Adeline was a dedicated wife and homemaker always having a hot meal prepared for her family every evening. She was also known for making the best peach pies. Adeline loved to play cards, especially pinochle and bridge. She was a member of the original Contract Bridge Club which began in the 1950’s in Glen Ullin. Adeline enjoyed traveling and her trip to Rome was especially meaningful to her. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ray of Glen Ullin; daughters, Patty (Terry) Duppong of Glen Ullin, Sue (Randy) Roemmich of Dickinson; son, Will (Tracy) of Mandan; six grandchildren, Ty and Casey Duppong, Chris (Brittney) Roemmich, Allison Roemmich, Dylan and Paige Diede; brothers, Allan (MaryAnn) of Wahpeton, Gary (Joan) of Glen Ullin; and sister, Cora of Fort Thompson, SD. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Donaghue and her parents.
