Adeline StarkFuneral Service for Adeline Stark, 97, of Baker will be 10:00 a. m. , Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the American Lutheran Church with Pastor Bruce and Reba Kolasch officiating. Burial will be in the Ollie Cemetery, Ollie, Montana,Visitation will be on Friday from 4 – 8:00 p. m. with family receiving friends from 5 – 7:00 p. m. , at the Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker, Montana. Adeline passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Fallon Medical Complex in Baker. Adeline was born April 1, 1916 in Williams Creek Township, ND, the daughter of Claud and Mabel (Leppla) Schouboe. She grew up and attended grade school at the Offle and Cripps country schools southeast of Golva and one year of high school in Golva. Due to the depression, Adeline had to leave school and begin working. She moved with her parents to the Waldren Ranch in 1931. She worked in the homes and offices of Dr. Tarbaux and Dr. Hogeboom as a young girl. She also worked for many ranch families, helping them with the sick and older members of the family. Adeline was married to Ernie Stark at the Waldren Ranch on April 2, 1939. The couple then moved to Ollie where she spent the next 72 years of her life. Together they raised their two children, Doris and Turk. They enjoyed traveling to see relatives on the east and west coast. Her friends and neighbors were very dear and important to her. Adeline and Ernie also enjoyed square dancing so much, that one of the additions on their home was a dancing room. They danced all over the country. Adeline enjoyed cooking, her kitties, and the view from her dining room window. She loved to play cards and played with a keen poker face. She was known to have played the faces right off the cards. Many wonderful traits have been passed on to her children. Adeline was proud to be a part of the Star X ranch 100 year celebration. Adeline is survived by her daughter, Doris (Dan) Thielen of Plevna, MT; son, Vern “Turk” (Toni) Stark of Ollie, MT; five grandchildren: Tracie (Thadd) O’Donnell, Holly (Tim) Gruba, Michael Thielen, Judd (Tawny) Stark, Amanda (Jay) Berg; seven great-grandchildren: Danielle O’Donnell, Seth O’Donnell, Zachary Gruba, Maria Gruba, Kate Stark, Grady Berg, Ericka Berg; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernie (1981); sister, Irene, her brother- in -law Gloyd Bury; her brother, Ronald, her sister –in- law Fern Schouboe and three infant brothers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Fallon Medical Complex in Baker.
