Adolph S. Sayler, 82 of Richardton, died Saturday, January 26, 2008 at the Richardton Health Center in Richardton. Private funeral services will be held at Spangelo Funeral Home in Hebron. Public visitation will be at Spangelo Funeral Home in Hebron on Wednesday, January 30 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery in Hebron. Adolph was born December 26, 1925 at Hebron, the son of Julius and Ann (Sailer) Sayler. He was raised and educated at Hebron. He began work for the Rail Road but August 20, 1947 he enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed in the Los Angeles area until he was discharged on May 20, 1950. He married Ruth Anderson on July 1, 1950 at Los Angeles. In 1957 they returned to Hebron where Adolph again worked for the Rail Road until he retired. Following retirement they resided in Hebron, Dickinson, and for the last several years at Richardton. He is survived by his wife Ruth, Richardton; one daughter: Darlene (Terry) Steingrueber, Richardton, ND, and one son, Karl Sayler in Hebron, four grandchildren Jamie (Joel) Opp, Miranda Sayler, April Steingrueber, Jesse Steingrueber and three great grandchildren Natalie, Jamison, and Wyatt Opp. He also leaves one brother: Clarence Sayler, Zap, ND and one sister: Esther Zinnel, Hebron. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Walter and Paul, and an infant grand daughter.
