Agnes Kostelecky

Mass of Christian Burial for Agnes Kostelecky, 90, of Dickinson are 10:00 a. m. Monday, November 3, 2003, at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church with Father Austin Vetter, celebrating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick?s Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 10:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m. and Sunday from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a rosary said at 7:00 p. m. followed by a vigil service at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Agnes passed away on October 30, 2003 at St. Luke?s Home. Agnes R. (Barta) Kostelecky was born April 23, 1912, on a farm west of New Hradec to Frank and Francis (Karsky) Barta. She was raised and educated in the New Hradec and Dickinson area. On November 4, 1930, she married Vincent Kostelecky in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Hradec. Together the couple had ten children. After the death of her husband in 1959, Agnes resided in Dickinson. She was a member of St. Pat?s Church and was named ?Mother of the Year? in 1966 by the Eagles Auxiliary, which she was a past member. Agnes enjoyed quilting, crocheting, bingo, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. Agnes will be greatly missed by her children, Vernon (Agnes) Dickinson, ND; Marjorie (Don) Reasy, Mesa, AZ; Raymond (Bev) Fridley, MN; Kenneth (Clarice) Burien, WA; Jean (Dyke) Davis, Yakima, WA; Allen (Joyce) Bothell, WA; Vincent (Joyce) Bullhead City, AZ; Doris (Ronald) Focht, Billings, MT; Robert (Karen) Hugo, MN, Dean (JoLynn) Anoka, MN; 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild & 2 step great-grandchildren. Her parents, husband, five brothers, one sister and a granddaughter preceded her in death.
