A Liturgy of the Word service for Agnes Nadvornik, 90, of Dickinson, will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Father Shannon Lucht celebrating. Burial will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Amidon.


Visitation for Agnes will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the funeral home.


Agnes passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at St. Benedict’s Health Center in Dickinson.


Agnes was born May 28, 1927 on the farm near Amidon to Stephen and Ethel (Underdahl) Buzalsky, the oldest of thirteen children. She attended country school. After school, Agnes moved to Spokane, WA where she worked as a telephone operator. She returned to the Amidon area where she later met Joseph Nadvornik. The two were married on May 14, 1952 in Amidon. The couple was blessed with five children.


Agnes lived for several years on the family farm before later moving to Dickinson. The family then moved to Butte, MT where Joe worked in the Anaconda Copper mine. After his passing, Agnes moved the family back to NE but eventually settled in Dickinson. She worked for ABLE Inc. and the Women’s Domestic Violence & Crisis Center. Agnes enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing pinochle, trips to the lake, and visiting with family and friends.


Agnes is survived by her sons, George (Nancy) Nadvornik, Mott, ND, Wayne (friend Ellie) Nadvornik, Richardton, ND, and Dean (Darlene) Nadvornik, Dickinson, ND; daughters, Betty (Danny) Kitzan, Hebron, ND, and Mary (Eugene) Renner, Richardton, ND; sisters, MaryAnn (Roman) Malarchick, Dickinson, ND, Cecillia Dworshak, Bowman, ND, Margaret Miller, Las Vegas, NV, and Jane Fischer, Dickinson, ND; brothers, Ted Buzalsky, Salem, OR, Tony Buzalsky, Tacoma, WA, Stanley Buzalsky, Fargo, ND, Martin (Linda) Buzalsky, Aberdeen, SD, and Richard Buzalsky, Zillah, WA; nine grandchildren; 22 Great-grandchildren; and one Great-great-grandchildren.


Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Ethel Buzalsky; her husband, Joseph; her brothers; David Buzlasky and Clarence Buzalsky; her sister, Mary Buzalsky; and grandson Doug Renner.
