Funeral Service for Agnes Barbara Quam, 75, of Ekalaka, MT will be at 11:00 a. m. Monday, February 26, 2007 at the Ekalaka Bible Church in Ekalaka with Pastor Wallace Fox officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot in the Beaver Lodge Cemetery at Ekalaka. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Agnes went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, February 19, 2007 at Dahl Memorial Healthcare Nursing Home in Ekalaka following a brief illness. Agnes Barbara Quam was born on October 7, 1931, a daughter of Ronald and Irene (Clyde) Schubach in Spokane, WA. At a young age, Agnes and her father moved to Montana, settling in Ekalaka. Agnes attended high school in Ekalaka and graduated from Carter County High School. After high school, she moved to Billings where she worked as a bank teller, eventually moving back to Ekalaka. Agnes met Roland Dean Parks, and the two were married on June 16, 1952. To this union Charles and Roberta were born. Eventually Agnes later met Oscar Quam, and they were married in Ekalaka on August 10, 1963. To this union Colleen and Warren were born. Agnes took pride in being a homemaker where she raised her children. After her two youngest children entered school, Agnes went to work for Tom Taylor and eventually Brice Lambert at the Ekalaka Eagle Publishing Company where she worked for many years. Agnes enjoyed crocheting and made many afghans and gifts for her family. She loved to garden and watch her flowers bloom and playing games. In her later years she enjoyed traveling with her sister. Agnes?s greatest enjoyment was for her family. Agnes is survived by her four children, Charles (Sandy) Parks, Ekalaka, MT; Roberta (Spencer) Huether, Ekalaka, MT; Colleen Quam, Ekalaka, MT; Warren (Amy) Quam, Surprise, AZ; a sister, Shirley Slusher, Orlando, FL; two half brothers, Vernon Schubach, Spokane, WA and Donald (Diane) Schubach, Shoshoni, WY; two step-brothers, James (Marlys) Carroll, Ekalaka, MT and Harry ?Corky? (Anne) Carroll, Willows, CA; two step-sisters, Josphine (Averton) Chavis, Laurinburg, NC and Doreen (Carl) Freeman, Shoshoni, WY; a granddaughter, Tawnee Parks, Billings, MT and a step-granddaughter, Jennifer Hawkson, Billings, MT. Her parents, Ronald and Irene, her husband Oscar, her stepmother, Blanc Carroll, a sister Kathleen Fowles, a stepsister, Delores Tinsvold and four grandchildren preceded her in death.
