A Funeral service for Albert Kitzan, 87, of Hebron, will be 2:00 p. m. CDT, Monday, January 20, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Hebron with Pastor David Ling officiating. Burial will follow in First Baptist Cemetery. Military rites will be presented by Henry Biffert Post #100. Visitation for Albert will be on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 12:00 p. m. to 2:00 p. m. CDT at First Baptist Church. Albert passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Sanford Health Sunset Drive continuing Care Center in Mandan, ND. Allbert Kitzan was born April 12, 1926 in Hebron, the son of John and Katherina (Gunsch) Kitzan. He was raised in rural Hebron. Albert worked for area farmers until 1949 at which time he began working for Hebron Brick Company. On June 28, 1951, Albert was drafted into the U. S. Army where he spent 14 months in Korea. He was honorably discharged on April 4, 1953 as an SGT E5. Albert returned to Hebron and continued to work for Hebron Brick until he retired in 1990. Albert was a member of the American Legion for over 55 years and a member of the Eagles. Albert is survived by nephew, Wayne (Bev) Petri of Hebron; niece, Geraldine (Wendell) Schaan of Mandan; great niece, Stefanie Allen of San Diego; and special friend, David Dick of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Herbert; and sister, Tillie Petri.
