During this time he served in Germany. PFC Tormaschy was honorably discharged from Ft. Sheridan, IL, in 1958. Albert began farming near Gladstone in 1959. Albert and Genevieve retired from the farm in 1983. They moved to Dickinson where they owned and operated the Rancher Motel and later converted it into apartments which they operate today.
