Alice Zastoupil

A Funeral Mass for Alice Zastoupil, 70, of Dickinson, will be 10:00 a. m. , Saturday, January 25, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Todd Kreitinger celebrating. Burial will be at a later date in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation for Alice will be 1:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. , Friday, January 24th at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Rosary and Vigil service being held at 7:00 p. m. Alice passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND. Alice was born May 7, 1943 in Dickinson, the daughter of Albert and Perpetua (Hutmacher) Binstock. She grew up on the family farm northeast of Dickinson and stayed busy as a young girl babysitting for the neighborhood children. Alice graduated from Versippi High School and worked for the Baker Boy Store in downtown Dickinson. On October 19, 1963, Alice married Joseph J. Zastoupil in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. The couple made their home six miles southwest of Dickinson, where her life dream of raising five children and being happily married for 50 years transpired. Alice always kept God and her family as her highest priority in life. Alice enjoyed flowers, gardening and helping Joe with the farming. In her younger years, she loved recreational outings of fishing, water skiing, snowmobiling, bowling and square dancing where she always shared her competitive spirit. She also did many craft and hobby projects, including cross stitch, stamp collecting and painting. Alice especially enjoyed family gatherings and playing with her grandchildren. Alice is survived by her husband, Joe; sons, Duane of Dickinson and Jason (Dawn) of Pierre, SD; daughters, Denise (Steve) Turner of Hettinger, Janel (Kevin) Bagley of Bowman, and Carrie (Travis) Hatzenbuehler of Dickinson; brother, Norbert Binstock and sister, Alletta (Harlan) Holtz of Spearfish, SD; and eight grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Katelyn, Cole, Brady, Austin, Jacob, Chase. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard, Edward and Alfred Binstock.
