Funeral Mass for Alina Tormaschy, 70, of Dickinson, will be 10:00 a. m. Monday, November 15, 2010 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Jeff Zwack and Father Russ Kovash Concelebrating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. , Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 6:00 p. m. Alina passed away, Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, North Dakota. Alina E Kulish was born July 20, 1940, the daughter of Mike and Pauline (Hurinenko) Kulish. She was raised on the family farm near Fayette, ND. Alina attended the local country school before going to school in Killdeer. After school, she began working at the Ray Hotel and Lariet Caf? in Dickinson. While she was working at the Lariet Caf?, Alina met Ralph Tormaschy. On April 8 1958, the two were married at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Dickinson. The couple lived on a farm near Gladstone for a couple of years before moving to their ranch 9 miles southwest of Manning. It was here where they made their home and raised their family of four children. Alina was a hard worker and very loyal to her family and friends. She loved to dance and never missed an opportunity to polka with Ralph. Alina enjoyed cooking, baking and canning. Gardening was her passion and she sold much of her produce from her garden. She had a great sense of humor and when there was laughter in the room, Alina could be recognized above all others. Alina enjoyed entertaining, taking care of her company, visiting and playing cards with neighbors. She was a member of the area Homemakers Club. She is survived by her husband, Ralph, three sons, Ron (Lavonne) Tormaschy, Dickinson, Ray Tormaschy, Temecula, CA and Terry Tormaschy, St. Cloud, MN; daughter, Renee (Mike) Havelka, Dickinson; two brothers, George (Bess) Kulish, Mandan and Ernest (Ellen) Kulish, Dickinson; three grandsons, Steven (Cora) Tormaschy, Dickinson, Brian Tormaschy, Bismarck and Jordan Tormaschy, Temecula, California; one granddaughter, Lauren Tormaschy, Dickinson and one great-grandson, Mason Tormaschy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Pauline.
