Allan Schmidt

Funeral Mass for Allan Schmidt, 58, of Denver, CO, will be 1:00 p. m. , Monday, May 9, 2011 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson with Father Jeff Zwack celebrating. Burial will take place at St. Joseph?s Cemetery in Dickinson. Allan passed away on April 20, 2011 at his home in Denver, CO. Allan James Schmidt was born in Dickinson to Albert J. and Doloris Schmidt on November 14, 1952. Allan attended South Heart and St. Joseph?s Elementary Schools, Trinity High School and Dickinson State University. He moved to Denver, CO where he worked in real-estate, sales and warehousing. Allan enjoyed all types of sports, especially the Denver Broncos and the Minnesota Vikings. He kept up and followed each team throughout their seasons. He also taught his sons the love of sports. Allan is survived by his sons: Adam of San Diego, CA and Derek of Houston, TX; mother, Doloris Schmidt of Dickinson; sister, Cynthia (Al) Heidt of Glendive, MT; brothers, Doug (Kathy) of Dickinson and Gerald of Billings MT and nephews, Dustin (Kristy), Devin (Amanda) and Christopher Schmidt all of Dickinson. He is preceded in death by his father, Albert J. Schmidt; grandparents, John Jr. and Katherina Schmidt and John J. and Margaret Meyer.
