Memorial Services for Allen C. Bisberg, 94, of New England, ND are Friday, July 15, 2005, 10:00 a. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel in Dickinson. Burial will follow in the New England Lutheran Cemetery. Military Rites will be provided by the Anton Ulijohn Post #66. Visitation will begin Thursday, July 14, 2005 from 11:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m. and Friday 8:00 a. m. to 10:00 a. m. Allen passed away Sunday, July 10, 2005 at his ranch northwest of New England. Allen Bisberg was born January 21, 1911, the son of Alfred and Carrine (Knudson) Bisberg. He grew up on the family ranch northwest of New England, and attended area country school through the eighth grade. Allen continued to spent time working on the family ranch until 1942 when he was drafted into the US Army during World War II. In 1945, he was honorably discharged after active service in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Allen spent the next few years working on a turkey ranch in California. He then moved back to the New England area where he worked at various jobs until he met and married Anna Gatzke on September 11, 1950 in New England. The couple moved onto her family farm, where they made their home until Anna passed away in 1974. Allen continued to farm for the next 20 years until his heath forced him to retire. Allen enjoyed tending to his country fowl around the farm. He also loved visiting with his friends and neighbors and reminiscing about the old days. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Anna.
