Alvina Krein

Alvina Krein, 87, of Dickinson, and formerly of rural Richardton, died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at St. Luke?s Home in Dickinson. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Hebron on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008 at 11:00 a. m. Central Time with the Rev. David Ling, officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 3-8:30 p. m. at Spangelo Funeral Home in Hebron with a prayer service at 8:00 pm. Visitation continues one hour prior to services at the church. Alvina was born February 11, 1921, on the farm south of Antelope, ND, the daughter of Otto and Katherina (Fehr) Heinle. She was raised on the farm and educated in the country school. She married Arthur Krein on February 19, 1941 at Hebron. Following marriage they made a life for themselves on the farm. Alvina was a devoted farmwife, she loved to entertain family and friends, gardening, baking, her specialties were kuchen and buns, canning, sewing, playing the piano, and caring for and doing things for others in need. The church was a central part of Alvina?s life; she served as a Sunday school teacher, sang in the choir, served on various committees?, and prayed countless prayers in her life long devotion to God and the First Baptist Church. Grateful for having shared in her life are her husband of 67 years, Art, Dickinson; one son and daughter-in-law: Ken and Shari, Richardton, ND; two daughters and sons-in-law: Arlis and Larry Friez, Farmington, New Mexico; and Edie and Roger Will, Bismarck, ND; seven grandchildren: Becky Kitchen, Tad Friez, Shelley Badinger, Stacey Potter, Darcie Leeseberg, Cory Will, and Darin Will; 14 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Esther Striha, Butte, NDShe was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Perry, four sisters: Gertrude Idler, Hilda Kuntz, Louise Frey and Anna Auch, and two brothers: Willie O. Heinle and Emmanuel O.
