Alvina Lonear

A funeral service for Alvina Lonear, 67, of Ekalaka, MT will be 11:00 a. m. , Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Ekalaka. Visitation for Alvina will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Alvina passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at Fallon Medical Complex in Baker, MT. Alvina was born April 2, 1947, at Strongs Prairie in Arkdale, WI, the daughter of Raynel and Bernetta (Grell) Lonear. She grew up, later graduating from Adams Friendship High School. Alvina enlisted in the US Army, serving as a nurse during the Vietnam War. Alvina was blessed with a daughter, Lisa. She was an amazing woman, raising her daughter on her own with love, understanding, respect and a caring heart. Alvina had worked various nursing jobs over the years. She lived on the family farm in Arkdale, WI, most of her life. Alvina moved to Antigo, WI to be with her daughter and son-in-law for two years, before they all moved to Ekalaka, MT in 2008. Alvina enjoyed fishing, sewing, hunting, cooking, dancing, singing, gardening, watching the Green Bay Packers on tv (she was an avid fan), rodeos, country fairs, old country music, 4-wheelers and horseback riding. She especially loved spending time with her family. Alvina is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Daniel) Cofer of Ekalaka, MT; sister, Laura Hall of Grand Marsh, WI; niece, Carrie (Billy) Burns of Reedsburg, WI; nephew, Leonard Hall of Grand Marsh, WI; niece, Elizabeth Probyn of Adams, WI; great-niece Makenna Probyn and great-nephew Dalton Probyn of Adams, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernetta and Raynel Lonear.
