Funeral Mass for Amalia ?Mollie? Kubas, 87, of Dickinson is 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Father James Braaten celebrating. Burial will be in the St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in New Hradec. Visitation will be Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 2 pm to 9 pm with a rosary being recited at 4 pm at the Stevenson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Monday, April 27, 2009 from 9 am to 9 pm with a Rosary and Vigil Service being held at 7 pm at Stevenson Funeral Home. Mollie passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at St. Luke?s Home in Dickinson, NDAmalia Kubas was born on December 24, 1921 the daughter of Frank W. and Mary L. (Novotny) Tuhy in Dickinson, ND. She grew up and attended country school north of South Heart, ND. Mollie was married to Albert R. Kubas on June 7, 1943 at New Hradec. Together they farmed and raised their son, Clarion. In 1954 they moved into Dickinson where they have made their home since. Mollie was a member of the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, sang in the church choir and stayed very busy with many church activities. She also belonged to St. Ann?s Altar Society, Rosary Society, Queen City Garden Club, Good Neighbors Homemakers, Teachers Aid, a volunteer for RSVP and NRCS. Mollie enjoyed reading and read many, many books. She also enjoyed playing bingo, and scrabble. Mollie loved and enjoyed her grandchildren especially being able to babysit them when they were young. Survivors include, her son, Clarion (Shirley) Kubas, Dickinson; four grandchildren, Monte (Susan) Kubas, Dickinson, Marquel (Kevin) Berger, Craig (Nikki) Kubas, Gladstone and Tyson Kubas; six great-grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Abbey, Kylen, Kali and Camden Kubas; a brother, Vince (Dorothy) Tuhy, Dickinson; a sister, Hattie (Mans) Steffan, Dickinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Albert and two infant children, Clayton and Sharon. Memorials may be given to Dickinson Catholic Schools.
