Andy passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 near Dunn Center. Andy was born August 29, 1932 at the Kostenko family farmstead in McKenzie County the son of Evsy and Lizzy (Velenchenko). He grew up and attended schools nearby before graduating from Killdeer high school. He studied agriculture at Dickinson College before returning to the farm. Later on Andy became involved in the implement business, owning and operating out of Watford City as well as continuing to farm on the side. After selling the business to Haggen, he stayed employed with them for many years prior to his retirement. In 1994, Andy was united in marriage to Suzanne Kostenko (Robertson) at New Town. He was a long time member of the Watford City Eagles as well as member and supporter of Killdeer Baptist Church. Many that knew Andy, knew that he lived his life for the farm and working the land—even until the end. Many would remember him for being pleasant-natured, never saying a harsh word. He loved visiting with his friends at the local café. Andy was simply a good friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
