Funeral Services for Angeline Bayer, 81, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Father Todd Kreitinger celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick?s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation for Angie will be from 11:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, with Rosary and Vigil Service taking place at 7:00 p. m. Angie passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010 at her home in Dickinson. Angeline ?Angie? Schmidt was born July 24, 1929 on the family farm in Stark County to Peter P. and Frances (Froehlich) Schmidt. She attended school at St. Pius Catholic School in Schefield, North Dakota. After graduation, she moved to Dickinson to work. On September 20, 1948, Angie married Ernest F. Bayer. To this union four children were born, Donald, Karla, Laure and Kent. Angie and Ernie made Dickinson their home and raised their children. Angie began working at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in 1979 until retiring in 1995. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph?s Hospital. Her Catholic faith and involvement in the Church were very important to Angie and she was very active in helping with St. Patrick?s Catholic Daughters, Legion of Mary and St. Gerard?s Study Club. Angie is survived by two sons, Donald (Cay) Bayer, Overland Park, KS and Kent (Michelle) Bayer, Palatine, IL; two daughters, Karla (Terry Fichter) Reindel of Dickinson and Laure (Rick Sanborn) Bayer, Fircrest, WA; two brothers, Marvin (Dorothy) Schmidt, Killdeer and Peter Schmidt, Fenton, MO; one sister-in-law, Leona Schmidt, Madras, OR; three grandchildren, Tracy (MacKenzie) Reindel, Catie (Chris) Eichman and Logan Bayer and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest; one son-in-law, Raymond ?Butch? Reindel; one brother, Laurence Schmidt and three sisters, Genevieve Geiger, Sister Laverne ?Caroline? Schmidt and Victoria Marvin.
