Funeral Mass for Ann A. Procive, 101, of Dickinson, formerly of Belfield, will be 10:00 a. m. , Friday, May 21, 2010, at St. Bernard?s Catholic Church in Belfield with Father Shannon Lucht celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. John?s Ukrainian Cemetery in Belfield. Visitation will be 12:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m. Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson, continuing from 5:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. at St. Bernard?s Catholic Church in Belfield with a Rosary and Vigil Service at 7:00 p. m. Visitation will continue on Friday, May 21, 2010, for one hour prior to the service at the church. Ann passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at St. Benedict?s Health Center in Dickinson. Ann A. Syminow was born February 10, 1909, in Billings County, ND, to Nick and Anna (Dutke) Syminow. She attended school in South Heart. In November 1923, Ann married Steve Procive. To this union, four children were born, Herman, Emily ?Mildred,? Robert, and Elizabeth ?Betty. ? Together they farmed and raised their family northeast of Belfield. Along with operating the farm, Ann cooked and baked for many weddings and gatherings. She also painted and did odd jobs with her sister Josephine. Ann lived independently until the age of 97. She moved into Dickinson and made her home at St. Benedict?s, where she remained until the time of her death. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and her livestock. She always had baked goods on the counter for all to enjoy. Ann also enjoyed traveling all over the United States with friends and family. Her pies always fetched a good price at any pie auction. She especially loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ann was very devoted to her church and spending time at adoration hour. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for 71 years and the Catholic Daughters and Christian Mothers. Ann is survived by her eight grandchildren; Dan Faragan, Dickinson, ND, Robert L. (Diane) Procive, Belfield, ND, Robert W. Procive, Van Couver, WA, Jeff (Leslie) Procive, Oak Grove, CA, Edward (Lana) Procive, Belfield, ND, Melissa ?Missy? (Jay) Wagner, Rogers, AR, John Teague, Virginia, and James Teague, Shelby, MT; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Syminow, Stoutland, MO; and a son-in-law, Kneelon Teague, Great Falls, MT. She is preceded in death by both parents; husband, Steve; sons, Herman and Robert; daughters, Emily ?Mildred? Tennant and Elizabeth ?Betty? Teague; brother, John Syminow, and two infant brothers; sisters, Mary Hlebechuk, Pauline Kordonowy, Josephine Nameniuk, Katherine Gerrity Elaine Grzanec, and Jo Mae; and great-grandson Matthew Procive.
