Funeral Mass for Ann Sadowsky, 93, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Jeff Zwack celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Wenceslaus cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p. m. to 9 p. m. Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Stevenson Funeral Home Dickinson with Rosary and Vigil service taking place at 7:00 p. m. Ann passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2008, at St. Luke?s Home in Dickinson, NDAnn Sadowsky was born May 7, 1915 on the family farm south of New Hradec to Joseph E. and Frances (Kadrmas) Ridl. Ann grew up on the family farm and attended the local country school. She continued to help on the family farm after her schooling. On June 6, 1934 Vincent Sadowsky and Ann were united in marriage at St?s Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Hradec. The couple made their home on the Sadowsky family farm and it was here that they raised their family of six children. In 1962 they moved into Dickinson, where Ann has made her home ever since. Ann was a great gardener but she especially loved her flowers. She enjoyed baking, especially recipes from her Czech heritage. Ann enjoyed spending time with her family especially when they could help her tend to her flowers. Vince and Ann enjoyed traveling across the United States as well as a trip to Rome for the Holy Year. She was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters, Catholic Workman?s (First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association) and Knights of Columbus. Ann is survived by her two sons David (Pauline) Sadowsky of Dickinson, ND; Donald (Faye) Sadowsky of Euguene, OR; Three daughters, Eva ( Andy) Beltowski of Hastings, PA; Janice (James) Gulka of Tucson, AZ; Kathryn (Gary) Lenz of Garretson, SD; a daughter-in-law, Cheri Sadowsky of Bakersfield, CA; one sister, Rose Ficek, Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law, Rosie Ridl, Dickinson, ND; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 8 great- great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband, Vince; a son, Daniel; a son-in-law Alfred Jablonsky; a daughter-in-law, Irene Sadowsky; five brothers, five sisters and three grandchildren.
