Funeral services for Hilda “Ann” Werre, 71, of Plevna, MT, will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Baker, MT with Pastor Joe Noel officiating. Burial will take place in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Plevna, MT.


Visitation for Ann will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2017 at the funeral home.


Ann passed away October 12, 2017 at Billings Clinic, Billings, MT.


Ann Werre was born June 24, 1946 in Fargo, ND to Edward and Marion (Wold) Hagemeister. As a child, she moved with her parents to Reeder and Hettinger area where she attended school. Ann met Allan Werre and on September 29, 1964 they were united in marriage. To this union, their daughter, Michele, was born. They made their home on the family ranch in the Bowman area. Ann worked as the activity director at Sunset Home in Bowman and was enjoyed by all the residents. Together they moved to Terry, MT in 1982 where Allen and Ann purchased a ranch. Later, they moved to Cassoday, KS where Ann managed a Circle J Western Store and later worked as a secretary for Buckeye Oil Supply in Elderado, KS. In 2003, they moved to Plevna, MT to be closer to Michele and their grandchildren. Ann again worked as a secretary for Prairie Fuels where she remained until retiring. She was an avid and accomplished quilter and showed her quilts in many shows. Ann also served as a judge for “Make It with Wool” contests. She was an active rodeo mom and kept Michele and others in line with the rodeo events. Ann taught Sunday school at Bowman Lutheran Church and later attended Peace Lutheran Church in Plevna. She was a devoted grandmother and enjoyed following her grandchildren in all of their events.


Ann is survived by her husband, Allan; daughter, Michele (Roscoe) Gray of Plevna, MT; grandchildren, Katie (Michael) Bost, Kelly (James) Rieger, and A.J. Gray; Great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Huntley Bost, and Owen Rieger; and sisters, Linda (Phil) Berg of Rhame, ND, Sandy Amos (Erik Hanson) of Rapid City, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Ann is preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Hagemeister; and great-grandson, Grayson Asher Rieger.
