Funeral Mass for Anna Evinger, 92 of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. , Monday, February 14, 2005 at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with the Rev. Austin Vetter officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary?s Cemetery in Richardton, ND Visitation for Anna will be on Sunday, February 13, 2005 from 9:00 a. m. to 12:30 p. m. at the Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel and from 1:00 p. m. to 1:30 p. m. at the St. Benedict?s Chapel, continuing from 2:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel with a Rosary being said at 7:00 p. m. led by Deacon Gene Morman. Anna passed away peacefully with family at her side on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at the St. Benedict?s Health Center in Dickinson. Anna was born September 29, 1912 in Gladstone, ND, the daughter of Andrew and Christina (Awender) Haich. She grew up on a farm seven miles north of Gladstone, ND and attended country school nearby. On February 6, 1933 she was married to Mathias W. Evinger. They moved to a farm eighteen miles southwest of Halliday, ND where they lived and raised their family. Mathias passed away on July 21, 1972. She left the farm in 1973 to take care of her parents until they passed away. In August of 1974, Anna moved to Dickinson where she lived in her own home until October 7, 2003 when she moved into St. Benedict?s where she has made her home since. Before moving to town, her love was the farm life, living in the country and taking care of her animals and poultry. Anna enjoyed gardening, quilting, making strudel and attending Holy Hours at church. Survivors include; three daughters: Rose Mary (Modest) Ficek, Dickinson, JoAnn (Matt) Butler, Fargo, ND and Elaine (Tom) Stromswold, Coon Rapids, MN; three sons: Ernest (Diane) Evinger, Elgin, IL, Donald (Jean) Evinger, Hampshire, IL and Linus (Ann) Evinger, Halliday, ND; one brother, Felix (Mary) Haich, Gladstone, ND; one sister: Betty Sickler, Bismarck, ND; 27 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Mathias, Jr. ; five brothers: Leonard and Edward Haich and three infant brothers; and three sisters: Katherine Biel, Rose Sickler and Mary Lozeno.
