Anna Meier

Anna Mary Meier, 89, Dickinson, died Saturday, August 2, 2003, at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Heath Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with the Fr. David Morman celebrating. Interment will be in St. Joseph?s Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church one hour prior to the service. Anna Mary Zent was born February 22, 1914, in Bentley, ND, to Anton and Katherine (Kupper) Zent. Anna Mary and Joseph Meier were married February 22, 1934. She was employed as a nurses aide until her health forced her to take an early retirement. During her lifetime she witnessed the 1st automobile, television, the man on the moon and the personal computer. Anna Mary kept in touch with her children and grandchildren via email. Her hobbies include gardening, crocheting and embroidery. Anna Mary enjoyed reading maps and playing Upwords and Scrabble. Anna Mary is survived: by her 13 children, Joe and Darlene Meier, Bismarck, Richard and Jane Meier, Durango, Colo. , John and Delores Meier, Renton, Wash. , Leo and Connie Meier, Phoenix, Ariz. , Jim and Lu Meier, St. Petersburg Tenn. , Dan and ?Cling? Meier, St. Louis, Mo. , Ron Meier, Moorhead, Minn. , Lollie Heidt, Dickinson, Jane Senn, Mott, ND, Rose and Frank Barta, Pagosa Springs, Colo. , Ellie Dvorak, Bismarck, ND, Fran and Kurt Knight, Elizabeth, Colo. and Mary Meier, Thornton, Colo. ; 27 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Rose Hoffman, Prosser, Wash. and Hilda Wheeler, Ore. She was preceded in death by, her husband, parents, one child, one grandchild and one brother.
