Anna passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2010, at Quality Personal Care in Baker, MT. Anna Caroline Singer was born on November 2, 1919, a daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Lamnick) Glass in Golden Valley, ND. Anna grew up on her parent?s farm 10 miles north of Golden Valley where she attended school. On February 11, 1941, Anna married Wilhelm ?Bill? Singer in Zap, ND. To this union Eyvon, Roger, Robert, Billy, LeRoy and Larry were born. Two months following their marriage, Anna?s hero, Bill, left to serve in the Army during World War II. She stayed in Golden Valley until Bill?s discharge at which time they moved south of Baker to the Hubbard farm. They later purchased the F. P. Mefford place, which became their lifelong home. Anna was a fulltime mother raising her children and working alongside Bill in the day-to-day operations of the farm. She was an exceptional baker and enjoyed canning the produce from her garden. She loved to visit with family, friends and neighbors, and always took a gift when visiting. Anna was known for giving the best neck and back massages, but her greatest talent was for her musical abilities in playing the piano. She always found time during her busy schedule to read her Bible. Throughout her life her greatest love was for her family. The grandchildren always wanted to go to ?Grandma Ann?s?. It made no difference if it was for work or fun, Grandma Ann was always about family! Anna is survived by her children, Eyvon (Lee) Laechelt, Helena, AL; Roger (Deb) Singer, Robert (Jan) Singer, Billy (Arlene) Singer, all of Baker, MT; LeRoy Singer, Lead, SD and Larry (Cindy) Singer, Baker, MT; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Elizabeth, her husband Wilhelm and her siblings, Jacob, Rose, Peter, Susan, Wilhelm, Maria, Emma, Christian and Alvina.
