A Liturgy of the Word service for Anne Klein, 83, of Dickinson, formerly of South Heart, will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2018 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Fr. Shane Campbell celebrating. In accordance with Anne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and inurnment will take place at a later date in Brunstad, ND.
Visitation for Anne will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2018.
Anne passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at St. Luke’s Home.
Anne was born September 10, 1934, the daughter of Wendelin Volk and Rose (Glas) Volk. She was the youngest of six siblings: Eva (Volk) Feist, Anton (Tony) Volk, Albin Volk, Joseph Volk, and Marie (Volk) Dalbol. Anne grew up on the family farm in Selfridge, ND. She had a love for animals and a passion for knowledge. Anne loved to share stories of her past growing up on the farm, hanging out with friends, and even being able to pick on her older siblings. When Anne was in high school she met her future husband, Jacob Klein. They later married on July 3, 1957 in Selfridge. Anne graduated from Dickinson State Teacher College with her diploma in high school curriculum on June 2, 1951.
Anyone that had a conversation with Anne would know of her sense of humor, hear her special laughter, and then would demonstrate how sassy and feisty she could be when she was making a point. She was her own person and didn’t let anyone or anything change her mind unless there was enough evidence that could sway her thought. Anne’s wonderful attributes will be greatly missed by all.
Anne is survived by her sister, Eva (Volk) Feist; many nieces and nephews; along with great-nieces and nephews.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Wendelin and Rose; husband, Jacob Klein; and siblings, Anton, Albin, Joseph, and Marie.
