A Liturgy of the Word service for Anton “Tony” Dvorak, 91, of Dickinson will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Deacon Ron Keller celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Wenceslaus cemetery.
Family will be Receiving Friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 26th at the funeral home and Time of Sharing will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Anton passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at his home in Dickinson.
Tony was born January 7, 1927 on the family farm 18 miles north of Gladstone in Dunn County, the son of Anton and Albina “Alice” (Hondl) Dvorak. As a young boy, he attended grade school in country schools. He worked on the farm with his father until he went to serve our country with the US Army in 1951. He was a heavy equipment operator and served in Korea. Following his service duty, Tony went to Hanson Auto School in Fargo. He looked at various jobs until he and his brother, Edwin bought East End Auto Parts in 1959. Tony became the sole owner in 1967 and operated it until he retired. He then enjoyed spending winters in Arizona. He enjoyed auction sales, rummage sales, reading, cards and yardwork.
Tony is survived by his sisters, Jean (Joe) Fetch of Billings, MT, Elsie Boyd of Dickinson, Marge Szelap of Las Vegas, NV, Bertha O’Connor of Bismarck; brother, Edwin (Bonnie) Dvorak of Gladstone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Albina “Alice” Dvorak; sister, Lillian; and brother, Alfred.
