Mass of Christian Burial for Anton Sattler, 92, of Richardton, is Friday, October 17, 2003, 10:00 a. m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Richardton with Father Brian Wangler, OSB. Interment will follow at St. Mary?s Cemetery, Richardton. Visitation is Thursday from 9:00 a. m. to 4:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel, Dickinson with a vigil service at 8:00 p. m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church at Richardton. Anton passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2003, at St. Benedict?s Health Center. Anton was born September 1, 1911, in Richardton, ND to John and Anna (Zimmerman) Sattler. He grew up and attended schools in Richardton. One of the highlights in his life was the time spent in Anaconda working for the smelter. Anton married Victoria (Hoff) on March 19, 1943 in Richardton, ND. Together the couple returned to the family farmstead south of Richardton and raised Columbian Sheep. Tony enjoyed farming and spending time outdoors. He cherished his relationships with everyone especially his brothers-in-law. He was known to have a unique pet around the farm whether a skunk, crow, raccoon or coyote. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Tony is survived by his sons, Anthony (Celia) of Bismarck, ND, Duane (Kim) of Richardton, ND; four daughters, Marilynn (Art) Hayes of Birney, MT, Arlene (Tim) Nelson of Minot, ND, Brenda (Don) Meyer of West Fargo, ND, Karla (Tim) Bohn of Sentinel Butte, ND; fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His parents, wife, Victoria, brothers, Marcus, Roy, Frank, John, Lucas, two sisters, Anna and Agnes preceded him in death.
