Anton Trinka, 88, Dickinson, died Thursday, April 7, 2005, at St. Benedict?s Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. , Monday, April 11, 2005 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jeff Zwack celebrating. Military Rites will be provided by the Dickinson Veteran?s Drill Team. Interment will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be 1 p. m. to 9 p. m. Sunday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson, with a prayer service at 6:30 p. m. lead by Deacon Gene Morman. Anton Trinka was born June 2, 1916 in Dunn County to John and Christine (Kralicek) Trinka. He attended Dunn County Country School to the 8th grade. Anton then worked around the country doing the C. C. C. project. He entered the U. S. Army and was honorably discharged on September 3, 1945. He married Della Tuhy on January 28, 1947 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson. They farmed west of Manning until 1957, when they moved to Dickinson. Anton then was employed by local contractors doing concrete work. He retired in the mid 1980?s. Della died on June 5, 1995. Anton enjoyed fishing, reading, and playing cards. He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and the American Legion. Anton?s kids and grandkids were his life and they enjoyed his sense of humor and kindness. He is survived by: one daughter, Charlotte (Fred) Schaar, Scranton, ND; one son, John Trinka, Thornton, CO; three grandchildren, Dana Schaar, Trevor Schaar, and Larissa (Trenten) Stein; two great-grandchildren, Aliyah Schaar and Landen Stein; two sisters, Hattie Dvorak, Dickinson, ND and Mary Godlevsky, Havre, MT, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Della; parents; four brothers and one sister.
