Antonia passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at her home in Dickinson. Antonia R. Holubok was born February 28, 1917 in Solen, ND, the daughter of Emil and Mary (Mansho) Holubok. Antonia was known by her friends and family as Toni. She grew up and attended country school in Solen, graduating from High School. Toni received her Teaching Certificate from Dickinson State Normal College and taught in the area country schools for several years. On June 27, 1938, Toni was united in marriage to Edwin E. King at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Dickinson. Together they were affiliated with Super Value Grocery Store for 40 years. Toni helped Ed in the bookkeeping department and always held true to being a numbers person all of her life. Toni was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, and the St. Joseph?s Hospital Auxiliary. In her younger years, Toni loved to bowl and was a member of the Liberty National Bank team for 20 plus years. She enjoyed spending her free time crocheting, traveling with Ed, but most of all being with her family in her home. Toni had a strong love for education, devoting many years to supporting the DSU Scholarship Fund, Trinity High School Scholarship and Expansion Funds. She also had a very strong faith and love for her God and Church, rarely missing daily Mass. The true love of her latter years was that she was able to see and get to know her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and being able to attend all of their weddings. Her final wish was to stay in and maintain her own home until the very end, and this wish was granted to her. Toni is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Don) Heidt of Dickinson; grandchildren, Allison (Clint) Wolf of Fargo, Lindsey (Ryan) Glaspell of Fargo and Chad (Kim) Heidt of Dickinson; great-grandchildren, Julia, Jack & Mary Wolf and Taylor Heidt; one brother, Donald (Marlys) Holubok of Rothsay, MN and one sister, Ann Duchow of Fargo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Mary Holubok; husband, Ed King; one infant brother, Joseph; two brothers, Leo and Alex; six sisters, Agnes, Florence, Pauline, Frances, Regina and Rose. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Ed and Toni King Scholarship Fund at Dickinson State University, Trinity High School or Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
