April Keene

A Celebration of Life for April Keene, 51, of Dickinson, formerly of Portland, Oregon, will be 2:00 pm Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Pastor Shawn Barnette officiating. Visitation for April will be one hour prior to the service.

April passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at her home.

April Lee Keene was born on June 1, 1972 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Douglas R. Keene and Lucille (Jessup) Easler. 

April received a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, and had a successful career as a marketing director in Las Vegas, Nevada. She also had her esthetician certification, and she made that her next career in Portland, Oregon. Her last job, which she worked with her boyfriend, was setting up photo booths for weddings and anniversaries.

April accepted Jesus as her savior in her twenties. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially skiing, camping, and rock climbing. She also loved taking care of her dog.

April was a loving and generous sister, daughter, mother, and friend. She cherished her two sons, Wesley and Javien. She will be greatly missed.

April is survived by her parents, Douglas Keene and Lucille Easler; sons, Wesley Childers of California and Jaiven Childers of Nevada; and siblings, Mark Keene of Dickinson, Sherri of South Dakota, Janessa of North Dakota, Katie of Iowa, and Melissa of South Carolina.
