Ardella Wetzel

Funeral services for Ardella Wetzel, 79, of Glen Ullin, will be 10:00 a. m. , CDT, Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Glen Ullin with Pastor Albert Lautenschlager officiating. Burial will take place in Glen Ullin Cemetery. Visitation for Ardella will be 6:00 p. m. – 7:30 p. m. CDT, Friday, May 29th at the church and one hour prior to the funeral service. Ardella passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at her residence in Glen Ullin. Ardella Rosella Dschaak was born January 26, 1936, in Mercer County, ND to Jacob and Ella (Froeschle) Dschaak. She grew up and attended school in Zap. After attending school she worked as a housekeeper and on various farms. On June 9, 1956 Ardella and Marvin Wetzel were united in marriage in Stanton, ND. To this union four children were born: Marvin Jr, Cindy, Pam and Brenda. Together, Marvin and Ardella farmed side by side. She loved to help out on the farm; especially cutting grass. Following retirement, the couple settled down in Glen Ullin. Ardella loved to do paint by numbers, listen to old time music and going to the Hebron Cafe’ for a hamburger. She loved visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who meant the world to her. Ardella is survived by her children, Marvin Jr and Cindy (Vince) both of Glen Ullin; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Vernon (Merey) of NE, Wesly of Oregon, and Reuben (Ardella) Dschaak of Hettinger; sisters, Verna (Bob) Solem of Zap, and Joyce (Mike) Quinlan of FL. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Ella Dschaak; husband, Marvin; daughters Brenda and Pam Wetzel; brother, Roy Dschaak; and sisters; Eldora and Ruby.
