A funeral service for Arnold “Bud” Hoenke, 88, of Baker, MT will be 11:00 a. m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker with Pastor Avis Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Bonnievale Cemetery. Visitation for Bud will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Bud passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Fallon Medical Complex in Baker. Arnold was born March 15, 1928 in Baker MT, the son of Otto and Harriette (Freeman) Hoenke. He grew up and attended country school in Plevna until eighth grade. Following school he helped on the farm. Arnold married Georgia LaVonne on September 15, 1954 in Baker. The couple then moved to Tioga. To this union, five children were born, Jackie, Judy, Laurie, Sherry, and Daniel. In 1958, the family moved back to Baker and he started working as a milkman in the dairy business. He worked for Ralph Ehret until he took over the business. He then owned and operated Baker Dairy until he retired. After retiring from his business, Bud helped at the senior center. He worked for the council of aging for 10+ years. Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, tinkering with cars and he had a special talent for fixing anything. He especially loved his family and grandchildren and was always there for them. He will be dearly missed. Bud is survived by his son, Daniel (Leah) of Dickinson; daughters, Jackie (Robert) Schumacher of Terry, MT, Judy (Joe) Janz of Baker, MT, Laurie (Jeff) Mann of Sturgis, SD, Sherry Hoenke of Dickinson; grandchildren, Conner Hoenke, Lachen Stadstad, Zachery Gregory, Chanse Hoenke, Jase Wiseman, Jamie Westyn, Ryan Moser, Phil Mann, Joe Janz, Jorja Hanes; great-grandchildren, Jase Stadstad, Shay Moser, Shelby Moser, Kylee Janz, Jarek Janz, Jalynn Hanes, Danica Hanes, Gage Hanes, Paisley Mann, Alden Mann, and Bella Mann; and brother-in-law, David Anderson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Harriette; wife, LaVonne; grandson, Corey Mann; sisters, Doris Wiseman and Gloria Duneman.
