Funeral Services for Arthur E. Schuetzle, 90, of Miles City formerly of Plevna will be 2:00 p. m. , Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Evangelical Free Church in Plevna with Pastor Joe Noel officiating. Burial will be in the Community Union Cemetery in Plevna. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 2:00 p. m. to 6:00 p. m. at the Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker. Arthur Ervin Schuetzle, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at Friendship Villa in Miles City, Montana. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, October 17, 2014 at Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church in Plevna, Montana, with Pastor Joe Noel officiating. Interment will be in the Community Union Cemetery at Plevna, Montana. Stevenson Funeral Home of Baker, MT has been entrusted with arrangements. Art was born at the family farm west of Plevna on September 10, 1924, the son of Christian and Louisa Schuetzle. He attended Plevna schools and graduated with the class of 1942. He was united in marriage to Viola Maier Straub on December 3, 1951. He took pride in earning his pilot’s license and later working for Proctor and Gamble in California. He returned to the family farm until moving to Miles City in August of 2013. He was a deacon of the Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church, and he was on the Community Union Cemetery Board. He was very active as a teacher and Sunday school superintendent. Survivors include his wife, Viola of Miles City, his son Gary (Rita) Schuetzle of Billings, his daughter Lynette (Dwight) Tague of Terry, his son David (Jodi) Schuetzle of Plevna and his daughter Shirlene (Tim) Watts of Billings. He has ten grandchildren, Jamie (Trent) Lofing, Susan (Jerry) Simonson, Eva (Trin) Jones, Amy (Loren) Lancaster, Chad Tague, Kendra (Jeremy) Ruff, Kylen (Dianna) Schuetzle, Kadri Schuetzle, Kaytlen (Seth) Crawford, Christina Watts; and ten great grandchildren with two additional great grandchildren on the way. He is also survived by Elsie Huether of Dickinson, ND, Helen (Ruben) Oberlander of Miles City, Rueben (Beverly) Schuetzle of Tuscon, AZ. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Robert and Verner and his sister Lilly Klos. Remembrances and condolences may be shared with the family at Stevensonfuneralhome. com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Community Union Cemetery to be used for a new Directory.
