A funeral service for Arvin Auch, 90, of Hebron, will be held at 10:00 a. m. CDT, Thursday, October 8, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Hebron with Pastor David Ling officiating. Burial will follow in the Frist Baptist Cemetery. Visitation for Arvin will be from 6:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m. CDT on Wednesday, October 7 at Spangelo-Stevenson Funeral Home in Hebron. Visitation will continue on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church. Arvin passed away October 5, 2015 at the Baptist Home in Bismarck. Arvin Auch was born April 24, 1925 near New Leipzig, ND, the son of Carl and Sadie (Mohr) Auch. He grew up on the family farm and attended school through the 8th grade. On June 1, 1948, Arvin and Bernice Ahl were married north of Glen Ullin. To this union five daughters were born. The family farmed 18 miles south of Hebron until 1968 when they moved into Hebron. Arvin and Bernice also made their home in Dickinson prior to moving to Bismarck. He was a resident of the Baptist home in Bismarck at the time of his death. Arvin was well known as a door to door salesman for Watkins products. He loved to visit and would often talk about his life on the farm and his love for tractors. Arvin had a great love for Gospel music and could often be heard singing his favorite songs. It brought him great joy to listen to his daughters and grandchildren sing. Arvin was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Hebron serving as an usher and in the choir. Arvin is survived by his daughters and their husbands, Patty and Duane Wagner and Sandi and Greg Kitzan all of Bismarck, Donna and Jerry Schneider of Hebron and Karen and Mark Fehr of Dickinson; one brother, Emanuel (Diane) Auch of Dickinson; one sister in-law, Phyllis Auch of Fergus Falls MN; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Bernice, his wife of nearly 60 years; one infant daughter; and ten siblings.
