Bailey Buckman

Funeral Service for Bailey Buckman, 4, of Sentinel Butte, ND, will be held at 10:00 am Friday, July 19, 2019 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, with Pastor Zelwyn Heide officiating.  Burial will be in the Little Wings Cemetery at the Buckman Ranch.


Visitation will take place from 2:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, with a prayer service taking place at 6:00 pm.


Bailey passed away on July 11, 2019 at her home.


Bailey Lee was born July 21, 2014 to Billy and Tessa (Manikowski) Buckman. Bailey received the sacrament of Baptism on July 27, 2014 with her godparents, Bobbie and Levi Manikowski by her side. She grew up with two brothers, William and Tellan. Bailey was adored for her big blue eyes. She never woke up on the wrong side of the bed. She was always happy and brought out a smile in everyone she met. Bailey enjoyed keeping up with William and being a mother hen to Tellan. She grew up on the back of a horse. Bailey had a special bond with her horse “Incs,” a 17 year old gelding who thought as much of Bailey as she did of him. She began riding with her parents before turning one and has loved riding since. She accomplished several trick riding skills at her age of 4. Bailey got to enjoy her first mini bronc ride at Rhame, ND. She also enjoyed trying to show up her brother William and looked forward to competition in the next event. Bailey traveled with the family to compete in cowboy mounted shootings throughout the tristate region. Bailey was loved by her parents, grandparents, and many cousins and close family friends. She was especially loved by her two brothers and dog Skittles.


Bailey will be remembered by her parents, Billy and Tessa Buckman; brothers, William and Tellan Buckman; grandparents, Ernie and Nell, Julie and Brad, and LaVonne and Matt; great-grandparents, Bonnie, Rose, Viola, Sharon, Margie and Eugene; uncles and aunts. Levi and Bobbie, Levi and Liza, Brooklyn, Cole and Alicia, Keith and Jenn, Brian and Jess, Matt and Heather, and numerous cousins and extended family and friends.


She was preceded in death by her brother, Wesley; and Grandpa Bill.
