Funeral Services for Benjamin “Ben” Fox, Strong Wind, 36, of New Town will be 11:00 am CT Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Twin Buttes Memorial Hall with Reverend Darlene Perkins and spiritual support Marva Pretends Eagle officiating. Burial will follow at Twin Buttes Congregational Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm MT Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson. A wake will begin at 5:00 pm CT Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Twin Buttes Memorial Hall.

Senior pallbearer will be Garcia Walks. Active pallbearers will be Harley Fox, Toby Fox, Marshall Fox, Clayton Fox Sicble, RJ Young Bird, Murphy Young Bird, Aaron Morning Star, Lane Taken Alive, Todd Goodsell, Chris Eagle, and Andrew Rush. Numerous friends and relatives will be honorary pallbearers.

Benjamin passed away on November 17, 2023 at Lake Havasu Medical Center in Arizona.

Benjamin Charles Fox was born June 29, 1987 to Donald J. Hill and Lavetta J. Fox in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He attended high school in McLaughlin, South Dakota where he played football and participated in track and field. He graduated in 2006. Ben went to NDSU for one year and did his general studies before deciding to work as a slot technician supervisor at Four Bears Casino in New Town.

Ben had numerous interests including playing darts, pool, and golf. He enjoyed being outdoors and watching movies. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Minnesota Vikings and University of Michigan Wolverines. However, his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family and friends.

Most recently, Ben was living in Arizona and working as a ranch hand.

He was a member of the Mandan Hidatsa Arikara Tribe and paternally the Sisseton Wahpeton Dakota Oyate. He was a member of the Prairie Chicken Clan with many aunts, grandmothers, uncles, and brothers.

He is survived by his parents; brothers, Joran and Marshall Fox; uncles, Wilmer C. Fox, Andy Grey, John Murphy and Donald Winstead; aunts, Sharon Grey, Amanda Winstead, Betty Murphy, and Jackie Many Bears; sisters, through our Hidatsa way Sissy Fox, Luana Littlewind, Danielle Grey, and Holly Lowe.

Ben is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lee and Marie; brother, Clayton Lee; sister, Nicole Littlewind; and uncles, Palmer Fox, Darrel Fox, Harley Fox, and Lee Fox Jr.
