Bernard Grosser, 89, Dickinson, died Thursday, March 16, 2006 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p. m. , Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Austin Vetter celebrating. Interment will be in St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Dickinson. Military Honors will be provided by the Dickinson Veterans Drill Team. Visitation will be 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. , Monday, March 20, 2006 at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson, with a rosary at 7 p. m. led by Deacon Ron Keller. Bernard Grosser was born August 15, 1916 in Taylor, ND to Bernard and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Grosser. He attended country school near Taylor. He entered the U. S. Army and served in WWII in Africa, where he was wounded. Bernard was then was sent to Sicily and Rome, and this is where he met Anna Marie Gentili and they were married in June, 1946 at St. Peter?s Basilica in Rome. They moved to Dickinson and Bernard worked as a farmer and truck driver, retiring in 1972. He enjoyed visiting over coffee, cars, whistling his favorite tune and going to auction sales. He was a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Dickinson. Bernard is survived by: his wife, Anna Marie, Dickinson; his four children, JoAnn (Mark) Miller, Mesa, AZ, Sharon (Bradley) Harper, MN. , Donald (Sharon) Grosser, Denver, CO, and Ernest (Cheryl) Grosser, Sacramento, CA; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rose (Lloyd) Moldenhauer, Dickinson, and Betty Leich, Bismarck; one brother, William (Angie) Grosser, Oregon. He was preceded in death by: his parents and two brothers.
