Beryl Dean Jensen was born on August 26, 1938 in Sundance, Wyoming to Elmer and Lillian Rose (Richey) Jensen. He grew up and attended schools in Sundance. He graduated from Sundance High School, where he served as the class Vice President. Beryl attended trade school to become a mechanic.

Over the years, Beryl worked at various jobs that took him and his family from Wyoming to Montana. He was an expert mechanic, carpenter, and rancher. One of his pride and joys was building his log home from the ground up. He also helped his family build the Keyhole Marina in Sundance.

Following the death of Beverly in 1975, Beryl married Patsy Tschetter. Through this marriage, Beryl gained two more children – Rick and Terri. Together, Beryl and Patsy made their home in Sundance and wintered in Arizona for over twenty years.

Beryl loved to golf, fish, and hunt. He also liked to tie flies, tumble rocks, and make keepsakes. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
