A Memorial Service for Betty Fett, 93, long time resident of Fargo, ND, will be 11:00 a. m. , CDT, Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Peace Church in New Salem with Pastor Joshua Eddy officiating. Inurnment will take place in Judson Cemetery. Betty passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016, at Marion Manor, Glen Ullin, ND. Betty was born in New Salem, ND on June 23, 1923 to Nathaniel (Tony) and Alice (Kleih) Starck. Betty attended school at New Salem. She was united in marriage to Leland (Lee) Fett on August 31, 1949 at Judson, ND. Betty was employed for many years by Fargo Public Schools until her retirement in 1988. She was active in the Shriners’ wives organization. Betty was an avid fan of the NDSU Bison basketball and football teams where Lee was the official timer. She also continued to be a fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Twins until her death. Betty and Lee enjoyed entertaining guests at their lake cabin in MN where Betty was known for her outstanding pie baking. She is survived by one brother, Lynn Starck of New Salem, ND; one sister, Diane (Daniel) Abraham of Centennial, CO; two sister-in-laws, Lavonne Starck of Canon City, CO and Joan Jones of Fullerton, CA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Fett; her parents; two brothers, Orville and Grant Starck; and sister-in-law Betty (Lynn) Starck.
