Betty Jordan

Betty Jordan, 75, Dickinson, died Monday, January 23, 2006 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a. m. (mt), Friday, January 27, 2006 at the Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, SD. Betty Lou McCormick was born March 9, 1930 in Alliance, NE to Mark and Viola (Van Houten) McCormick. She graduated from high school in Alliance, NE in 1948. She then married Leonard R. Jordan on August 3, 1952 in Alliance. They lived in Hemingford, NE, before moving to Rapid City in 1961, where they raised their family. They moved to Mesa, AZ in 1989. They lived there until 2005, when they moved to Dickinson. Her hobbies included bowling, cards, and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed company and visiting with people. She is survived by: her husband, Leonard; one son, Lance (Vicki) Jordan, Omaha, NE; one daughter, Roxanne (Don) Evans, New England, ND; six grandchildren, Nathan, Josh and Victoria Jordan and Chad, Ryan, and Lisa Evans. She was preceded in death by: her parents and one sister.
