Betty Kubas

Funeral services for Betty Kubas, 93, of Dickinson, will be 10:00 a. m. , Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Burial will be in St. Joseph?s Cemetery later this spring. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 23, 2010, from 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson. Betty passed away Friday, February 19, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in Dickinson. Betty M. Morel was born on September 2, 1916, the daughter of Dominick and Kathirina (Krug) Morel west of Lefor, ND. She moved with her family as a young girl to their farm two miles north of Gladstone where she attended country school. Betty was married to Laudie Kubas. To this union four children were born: Leila, Marvin, Melvin and Bob. They made their home in Dickinson all of their lives. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, crocheting and cooking. She always enjoyed cooking for the whole family as they gathered. She was a member of the Jehovah Witness Church of Dickinson. She was survived by: a daughter, Leila Olney, Dunseith, ND; two sons, Melvin (Danette) Kubas and Bob (Rosie) Kubas, both of Dickinson, ND; a brother, Frank J. (Regina) Morel, Gladstone, ND; and two sisters, Margaret Anton, Dickinson, ND, and Irene Childers, Miles City, MT; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Laudie; and a son, Marvin.
