Betty Pfenning

Funeral services for Betty Pfenning, 79, of Glen Ullin will be 1:00 p. m. , CDT, Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Glen Ullin with Pastor Toby Heller officiating. Burial will take place at St. John’s Cemetery in Hebron. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church. Betty passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Standing Rock Indian Health Service in Fort Yates, ND. Betty was born March 31, 1937 in Krem ND. She married Alvin Pfenning on October 12, 1958 in Beulah. Together the couple lived in Kennewick, WA and after Alvin’s passing Betty moved back to Glen Ullin. She began working at Marian Manor in 1978, until her passing. Betty is survived by her daughter, Vicky (Ray) Schwartzbauer of Huff, ND; sons, Kenneth (Annie) Wandler of AZ, and Rick Oas of WA; granddaughter, Amy Schwartzbauer of Mandan; grandson, Ricky Oas, Jr. of WA; very special great-granddaughter, AnnaBelle Schwartzbauer; great-grandson, Ricky Oas, III of WA; brothers, Glenn (Lucille) Kruckenberg, Duane (Susan) Kruckenberg; sister, Una Neuberger;sisters-in-law, Arlene Pfenning and Edna Weil; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; parents, Fred and Ella and sisters, Luan and Mardella.
