Funeral services for Bevra DeHaan, 55, of Baker, MT will be at 11:00 a. m. , Saturday, August 29, 2015 at American Lutheran Church with Pastor Bruce and Reba Kolasch officiating. Burial will follow at the Askin Family Cemetery. A Family Receiving Friend’s service will take place from 5:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home, Baker, MT. Bevra passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Billings Clinic Hospital in Billings, MT. Bevra Dawn DeHaan was born September 1, 1959 in Miles City, MT, to Roy and Sharon (Askin) Ferrel. She grew up and attended school in Baker, graduating from Baker High School. Bevra attended college in Miles City and later in Glendive. Bevra married Kelly Smith in 1984. She owned and operated The Baker Video Tyme for several years. She was later divorced from Kelly. Bevra was the secretary for Tri-State Septic working with Bernie Heiser. She enjoyed spending her time working as a mud logger in the oilfields in Montana and North Dakota. Bevra met Derrick in 2006 and was united in marriage in 2008. Together they started Double D Rentals in Baker which she operated until she passed away. Her main job in life was always a full time Auntie. She was the best. In her younger years, Bevra enjoyed organizing sand volleyball and wallyball tournaments. Anytime a family was in crisis, Bevra was the one to organize a benefit for them. She was very caring to her family as well as others in the community. Bevra loved to spend time fishing, and camping “glamping” with Derrick and hanging out with her nieces and nephews. She also loved her cats as well as a stray one or two. She had a very giving heart. Bevra especially enjoyed teaching Derrick how to dance. She loved carousels and riding on them. Bevra is survived by her husband, Derrick; parents, Roy and Sharon Ferrel of Baker; father-in-law, Pete (Kathy) DeHaan of Powell, WY; sisters, Joyce Straub of Baker (Shawn Carlisle) of Ekalaka, and Natalie (Pat) Zink of Lewiston, ID; nephews, Levi Johnson of Baker, Toby and Talan Hooper of Powell, WY; nieces, Jasi (Levi) Swyres of Baker, Shayna (Cory) Hendrix of Lewiston, ID, and Shawnee Zink of Bismarck; sister-in-law, Lacee (Mike) Hooper of Powell, WY; great-nephews, Hunter and Ryder; and Derrick’s grandmother, Janna Straub of Powell, WY. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; mother-in-law, Debbie DeHaan; infant sister, Sandra Ferrel; and brother-in-law, Dave Straub.
