Funeral Services for William J ?Bill? Rosendahl, 84 of Dickinson will be 11:00 a. m. MST Saturday, February 19, 2005 at Normanna Lutheran Church in Dunn Center with Pastor Aanen Gjovik officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, February 18, 2005 from 1:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m and one hour prior to service at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel in Killdeer. Bill passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson. He was born April 23, 1920, in Dunn Center, ND to C. P. ?Pete? and Dorothy (Johnston) Rosendahl. He grew up and attended schools in Dunn Center and graduated in 1938. He then enlisted in the U. S. Navy, where he was the Aviation Radio Man for three years and seven months. He was honorably discharged on December 19, 1945. Shortly after returning to North Dakota, he was married to Catharine Gimbel in Wibaux, Montana in 1946. His work took him to various states in the South West. For sixteen years he made his home in Las Vegas. He worked as curator and guide at the Dunn County Museum for several summers. In 2002 he moved to Hazen to be closer to his family. He moved to Dickinson where he had made his home since. William enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren. Survivors include a son, Duke (Phyllis) Rosendahl of Hazen; a daughter, Joan (Phil) Pfeifer of Rockford, IL; a sister, Dorothy Kessel of Dickinson; four grandchildren: Adrea (Joe) Bennett, Kristen (Scott) Ericson, Shannon (Mitch) Larson and Duke (Lisa) Rosendahl Jr. ; and four great-grandchildren: Providence, Brandon, Alise and Audrey. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
