Funeral Services for William ?Bill? Varner, 52 of Baker, MT will be 2:00 p. m. Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at American Lutheran Church in Baker, MT with Pastors Bruce & Reba Kolasch Officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot in the Bonnievale Cemetery at Baker, MT. Visitation will be 12:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. Monday, September 25, 2006 at American Lutheran Church in Baker, MT, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p. m. Visitation will continue 9:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. Tuesday, September 26, 2006. Bill passed away Friday, September 22, 2006 at the Fallon Medical Complex in Baker, MT following a short illness. William Herbert Varner was born December 20, 1953 in Ekalaka, MT to Herbert and Alvina (Bohle) Varner. Bill grew up in Baker, MT where he attended the local grade schools and eventually graduated from Baker High School in 1972. After graduation he worked with his father, Herb at MDU before taking a position with Schell Oil. On April 14, 1973 Bill married Maria Robinson. The couple made their home in Baker where they raised their two children. In 1977, Bill started his own pipeline construction company, B&M Oilfield Service, which he operated for nearly 20 years. He ventured in to underground boring in 1995 and has been operating Underground Boring Specialties ever since. Bill cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed golfing, spending time with his friends, and working on his collection of old pick-ups and cars. Bill was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife Maria; his mother Alvina Varner of Baker, MT; a son Gye (Chayni) Varner of Baker, MT; a daughter Misti (Josh) Breitbach of Baker, MT; three grandchildren, Macy Varner, Mallory Varner, and Gracen Breitbach; two brothers, Fred (Debbi Jo) Varner of Baker, MT; Dennis (Sherry) Varner of Bakre, MT; a sister Cathy (Gerry) Bass of Enina, MO a special sister-in-law who Bill helped raise and thought of as his own, Rochelle (Kirk) Conroy of Baker, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded by his father Herb Varner; mother-in-law Evelyn Hurlbert; two brothers-in-law, Carlos Robinson and Dana Robinson.
