Blanche Vigen, 90, of Dickinson, passed away February 19, 2014 at St. Benedicts Health Center in Dickinson. Cremation has taken place with Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will take place at a later date. Blanche Lucille Vigen was born to Veroley and Louis Bohmbach on July 28th 1923, in Ray ND. Blanche attended Charlson Rural School and graduated from Sanish High School in 1941. She then attended the State Teachers College in Dickinson ND, graduating in 1945. She taught at schools in Cartwright, Bisbee, and Sanish. Blanche was a CNA for many years at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in New Town. She moved to Dickinson in the summer of 1992. Blanche lived at Pioneer Haven, Evergreen, Country House, and then entered St Benedict’s Nursing Home on February 1st 2013 where she resided until her death on February 19th 2014. Blanche is survived by her son, Lewis Vigen of New Town; three daughters, Rhonda Detienne (Jerry) of Rowlett TX, Shelley Dennis (Brien) of Killdeer, and Rita Dvorak of Dickinson; brother, Neil (June) Bohmbach of Killdeer and New Town, sister, Frances Ventsch of New Town; eight grandchildren, Cody Vigen (Andrea) of Mandan, Jeremey Vigen of San Diego CA, Brad Dennis of Killdeer, Dixie Dennis of Dickinson, Jesse Detienne of Arlington TX, Jacob Detienne of Rowlett TX, Shelby Dvorak of Grand Forks, and Shayna Dvorak of Dickinson; two great- grandchildren, Trajon and Yesenia Vigen of Mandan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Veroley and Louis Bohmbach and her brother, Marvin (Shirley) Bohmbach.
