Funeral Services for Blanche Weber, 93, of New England will be 2:00 p. m. MST, Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Our Redeemer?s Lutheran Church in New England with Pastor Bruce Peterson officiating. Burial will be 2:00 p. m. CST, Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the North Dakota Veteran?s Cemetery, Mandan, NDVisitation will be Monday, February 14, 2011 from 2:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. at the Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson. Visitation will continue on Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Blanche Bach was born on July 12, 1917 the daughter of Fred and Anna (Bambusch) Bach in Regent, ND. She grew up and attended school graduating from the Regent High School in 1935. She completed two years of college and later taught country schools for two years. On October 31, 1941 Blanche was married to Joseph C. Weber at Bismarck, ND. Three children were born to this union: Jerry, Bob and Sherrie. Together they made their home in southwestern North Dakota until 1960 when they moved to Denver, CO. After they retired, they returned to New England where they made their home. Over the years Blanche enjoyed many crafts. One of her specialties was making teddy bears, some of which were dressed as Denver Broncos and given to Bronco players. Blanche invented a tension guide for knitting and crocheting. She marketed it with Boyd Needle Co. of Chicago and after she received her royalty check for $1. 22, she decided to never cash it. Blanche was very active in her church groups both in New England and Denver. She was also a member of the New England Senior Citizens and the Havelock Club. Blanche was very faithful to Joe during his failing health. She moved to Mott to be closer to him in his last days. She will now rest with Joe at the North Dakota Veteran?s Cemetery. Survivors include: two sons, Jerry (Sheryl) Weber, and Bob (Kris) Weber all of Denver; one daughter, Sherrie (Dan) Stumbo, Orlando, FL; a brother, Harold (Evelyn) Bach, Dickinson, ND; a sister Helen Tieszen, North Newton, KS; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; two brothers: Archie and Johnny Bach and a sister, Dorothy Dorgan. Memorials may be given to Our Redeemer?s Lutheran Church, New England, ND.
