Our mother, grandmother and sister, Bonnie M. Sagissor, 78, of Baker, left this world after a hard fought battle with dementia. She passed away on Monday, February 3rd at 10:55 pm, with her daughter Corrine by her side, as well as several kind, professional and caring folks from Quality Personal Care in Baker, MT. She has left this world and is now in the loving presence of Jesus, many friends and family members. She will be missed by many, but it is wonderful to think of her in heaven, cooking once again and caring for her boys. Due to Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date in Deborgia, MT. Mom was born to Kenneth and Buelah Parks in Wolf Point Montana on November 5, 1935. She was one of five children raised on the farm outside of Vida, going to a one room schoolhouse and finishing High School in Wolf Point. After completing high school, Mom went to work at the Sherman Hotel and this is where she met a man by the name of George Sagissor ll. On May 5, 1955, Bonnie and George were married. They started their lives together in Poplar MT, as well as starting their family of four children; Jean, Kenneth, Corrine and Tom. While raising her family, Mom worked for Anderson Lumber Yard and Poplar School system. In 1969, the Sagissor family went on a road trip, that two years later would become their new home in Haugan MT. In Haugan, Mom finished raising us kids while working at the Lincolns Silver Dollar Gift Shop and after twenty-five years, Mom retired. During retirement, Mom and Dad did some traveling and fishing along the way until Dad left us in 2000. Shortly after that Mom moved to Superior MT for a short time, then in 2004 to Plevna MT to be closer to Corrine. Mom was happy there, taking care of the youngest grandkids, making cookies and enjoying the little farm house that she had. Bonnie is preceded by her husband, George W. Sagissor ll; two sons, Kenneth and Tom J. Sagissor; her parents; and two sisters, Audrey and Cleone. She leaves behind two daughters,Corrine and Shawn Sander of Plevna, MT and Jean and Jim Suman of Post Falls, Idaho; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers,Don and Mary Ann Parks of Grassrange MTand Evron Parks of Forks WA, along with several nieces and nephews. Bonnie’s family would like to thank the staff of Quality Personal Care in Baker, MT for the loving and tender care they gave Mom over the past two years. In lieu of donations to a memorial fund, Jean and Corrine would ask that you do a kind act for someone in your community, such as plant a flower, bush, or tree. Whatever the act, do it in Bonnie’s memory and know that she is smiling because of it.
