Brenda Ann Goodman, 47, of Baker passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at the Fallon Medical Complex in Baker, MT, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Brenda was born on December 28, 1961 the eldest daughter of H. C. and Delores (Noftsker) Goodman in Wagner, OK. After living in several places during her childhood, Brenda?s family settled in Baker, where she graduated from Baker High School in 1980. After graduation, Brenda remained in Baker until her marriage to Llewell Craig Johnson on January 3rd, 1981. While living in Baker, the first of the couple?s two children, Llewell Brandan Johnson, was born. The family then moved to Fairfield, ND where their second child, Desiree Marie Johnson, was born of this union. The Johnson family remained in Fairfield until 1993 when they moved to Alva, OK. Brenda and Craig continued to make their home in Alva until the couple divorced and Brenda moved back to Baker where she remained until her death. Brenda was known for her amazing talent as a nurturer. First and foremost in her life were her children and her family. She had a gentle soul that touched so many, and it showed in all that she did. Both Brandan and Desiree?s friends knew that they could turn to Brenda and she would help them as much as she would help her own kids ? she was an extended mom for so many. Brenda was a ?Jill of all trades? and held many different positions in life. From picking up after her own two rambunctious children or cleaning other people?s houses to working at the Post Office, Brenda had many hats through her life and excelled in all of the positions she held. Her creative side came out in a position with a local florist in Alva where she was able to combine her passion for creating beautiful things with her amazing green thumb. Brenda was able to grow anything, anywhere, anytime. This ability confounded so many others who tried so hard to keep their plants alive, and to Brenda it seemed so effortless. Brenda is preceded in death by her mother, Delores Ann (Noftsker) Goodman. Surviving Brenda is her father, H. C. Goodman of Baker; her children L. Brandan Johnson of Baker and Desiree Johnson of Dickinson, ND; her sister, Cheryl (Daryl) Gullickson of Alexandria, MN; her nieces and nephew, Annalishia, Emily, and Christopher Gullickson of Alexandria, MN; and her former spouse L. Craig Johnson of Maryland. Brenda?s family was extensive as she considered her friends to be her family as well. She loved everyone with her whole being and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
