Brenda Maloney

Brenda Schantz Maloney, 56, formerly of Hebron/Glen Ullin, died June 29, 2013 at her home in Woodstock, GA, with her family by her side.


Services will be held at 2 p. m. , (CDT) Wednesday, July 10th with rosary at 1 p. m. , at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glen Ullin with Father Brian Wangler, O. S. B. celebrating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.


Brenda was born June 24, 1957 in Lemmon, SD to Eugene and Irene (Bender) Schantz. She grew up in Glen Ullin, ND where she graduated from high school. She married Bob Maloney, and raised their two children, Kristina & Tyrell. Later, Brenda met her soul mate, Rich Henderson, and moved to Coloma, MI. They spent their time together playing guitar, singing, quilting, and watching their gardens grow. A new chapter in their life began in 2012 when they moved to Woodstock, GA. Brenda also enjoyed painting, baking, canning and sewing, as well as being involved with the Morton County EMT, but her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren Maddox and Marissa. Her family and all who knew her will remember her kindness, humble nature, selflessness, positive attitude, sense of humor and infectious laugh.


Brenda is survived by her partner Rich Henderson, Woodstock, GA; daughter Kristina (Joe) Colatarci and granddaughter Marissa, Holly Springs, GA; son Tyrell (Lindsay) Maloney and grandson Maddox, Hebron, ND; six brothers, Roger (Sheila) Schantz, Sheldon Schantz, Allen (Colleen) Schantz, Doug Schantz, and Jerry Schantz, all of Glen Ullin and Bill Schantz, Parker, CO; three sisters, Debra (Gerald) Sebastian, Hebron, Pam (Russ) Walter, Dickinson, Donna Schantz, Glen Ullin and numerous nephews and nieces.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Irene Schantz; grandparents, George and Tecla Schantz and George and Emma Bender.


She will be greatly missed and loved forever.
