Bridget Braun, 99, Dickinson, died Wednesday, December 24, 2003 at St. Benedict?s Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Rev. Dennis Schafer officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 9 am to 2:30 pm at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, from 3 p. m. to 4 p. m. at St. Benedict?s Health Center chapel and from 4:30 p. m. to 9 p. m. at Price-Murphy Funeral Home. There will be rosary led by St. Pius Verein and a prayer service led by Deacon Ralph Stockert at 7 pm. Monday, December 29, 2003. Bridget Roeder was born January 21, 1904, in Dickinson to Louie and Julia (Wandler) Roeder. She was raised on the farm in Schefield and attended country school to the eighth grade. She married Peter P. Braun on May 31, 1922, at St. Pius Catholic Church. Together they farmed 22 miles southwest of Dickinson where they raised four sons and four daughters. In 1945 they moved to Dickinson. She was a member of St. Pius Verein, St. Ann?s Alter Society and was a lifetime member of the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed gardening and singing and kept herself busy sewing, crocheting and playing bingo. Bridget Braun is survived by: four daughters, Mildred Heinle, Dickinson, Sister Mary Eugene Braun, Mankato, Minn. , Florence Voris, Lake Havasu City, Ariz. , and Laverne Rios, Riverside, CA; daughter-in-law, Martha, Dickinson; 27 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 32 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Tillie Fischer, Dickinson. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Louie and Julia; husband, Peter; sons, Ernest, Louie, Henry and Eugene; sons-in-law, Walt Heinle, Dick Voris and Robert Rios; all of her brothers, five sisters and one granddaughter.
